Filming Practice

  1. We practiced filming our most difficult scene for this and from watching it back it's become obvious that tracking could be more difficult than intended. From when 'Sam' (played by Harry only for this) is walking along, and then when he walks down the step to see 'Ruby', which is a panning shot, it is clear which technique is more professional and neat looking - the panning shot. However, for our final piece we must try and perfect the tracking as much as possible - we could even slow down the actual filming of it and then speed it up in editing, if needed, so it looks effective enough to use.
I think that the tracking shot for the ending as they're walking away was significantly more well done though as it was a lot less unsteady and it creates the right impression for the audience that Ruby has feelings for Sam - leaving certain parts longer on one character even though they are not the speaker to emphasise their reactions.
