Titles and Credits

We looked at lots of title sequences on http://www.artofthetitle.com and summarised our ideas.

Avengers
  •            High end graphical titles/credits
  •            Brief writing, fades in and out
  •            Cast names are displayed
  •            Allows glimpses into the story
  •            Links in with characters like Iron Man, Hulk.

An Inconvenient Truth
  •              Non diegetic sound
  •       Credits – black screen with white text
  •              Facts & figures which link into the movie
  •            Very minimalistic, which doesn't reveal much about the movie
  •            Uses sound to set a mood, to connect with the audience

Seven
  • Around 2 minutes long
  •  Cast names
  • Blurred
  • High tempo music in background which is toned down
  • Montage of shots

Summary
  •            Titles in our genre are very minimalistic
  •            They tend to fade in and out
  •            They normally tie in with the main themes of the movie
  •            Non-diegetic sound is often played, light hearted in our genre
  •            Our genre normally uses black screens with white bold writing
  •            All have production logos, but it has just brief glimpses of it.
